Bull market

A bull market describes a prolonged upward market trend in which capital gains rise faster than the historical average. Bull markets are often a result of increased investor confidence and increased investment activity. A bullish trend in the stock market begins before recovery of the general economy. The longest equity bull-market lasted over eighteen years from 1982-2000.
